A Galentine type of Valentine

{the card i made for my mom and sister in law out of pictures of my nephew}

even though i am just a single gal still looking for the love of my life...
{if anyone is interested in helping out i am also known as the queen of blind dates, but that is another story!}
i still think valentines is a beautiful holiday. i love that people can put aside the fears of sharing your deepest feelings about those you love. that sometimes people get the guts to go all out, balls to the walls, and make that huge gesture that they otherwise would be too terrified to make. mostly i love that for one day you go around telling everyone "i love you" and for once they dont look at you like you are strange.

after i had to suddenly had to say goodbye to one of my dearest and closest friends in my life i have had one very important thing go through my head every time i think about her... did she know how much i truly love her?

it has become a goal of mine to make sure that everyone knows how much they mean to me because life is about living without regrets, and love is the only thing that matters.
{if you know me for reals you also know that telling others my deep dark feelings is one of the hardest things for me to do, i dont like being vulnerable. and that is very hard to admit!}

my sweetest emma joy has made the greatest tradition of throwing a galentines party every year. what is galentines you might ask? well its simply what it sounds like... a gals valentines party. ladies celebrating ladies! the food was amazing and the company was even better. i love everyone of these girls more than i could ever express. they have helped me to survive the last 2 years of my life which has been a complete crazy mess. they keep me sane, make me laugh, and help me with frustrations of dating life and being single, they keep me company when i cant stand to be alone and reply to my texts at 3 am when i freak out about what i am going to do with my life.

jelissa, amanda, whitney, me, katie, emma, erin, kari, emilee
for more about the party check out the emma's blog

we each make a special valentine treat to bring for everyone. simple and fun!
this year mine was a pinterest inspiration but i made my own twist. the original idea was from here.
this is what my tags looked like
   {if you are interested send me an email and i can send you the page to print}

 Hope everyone had a magical day full of love!
