quilts

A little while back Brynn's mom had a box of some things she didn't know what to do with and was going to throw out. I was so excited when she asked me to look through to make sure there was nothing that I wanted to keep.
among the many nicknacks Brynn collected there was a bunch of fabric balls. I decided to take them and make something that I would be able to keep and use forever. My mom and aunts are the queen of crafts and helped me find a good quilt pattern to make out of them since the designs were so big. I wasnt sure how well the fabic was going to look together but figured, what the hell! It will be Brynn not matter what, right?!
I love how it turned out!

The border and solid orange squares are from the Sari she got while in India
Green/Orange flowers are from Kenya
Purple and gold are fabric she had hanging in her room (from Ikea!)
Orange/White swirls squares and backing are from her bedding

 I seriously L-O-V-E every detail

Trae's mom, Kathy Sadler, was a complete gem during this process! She is a quilting rock star, people pay her to do this beautiful detail work. She was so nice to answer questions for me. She helped me get the right batting to make sure it was soft a comfy.  She went above and beyond creating this fantastic design and making sure every detail was absolutely perfect, soo PERFECT!!!
It took everything I had not to cry when Trae showed me the finished work of art, & I dont cry!

 what the back looks like...
