Moab family trip

Back in May we had our yearly family trip to Moab with my dad. This trip is always so much fun with crazy fun with great new memories every year. This year it worked out ever so lovely that I got to be in charge of the repo jeep... this is a big deal. I have gotten to drive a few small easy trails years before but never got to be the number one driver and do it all! Catherine, my step, was my co-pilot on the trip on we did the bonding. at one point I was laughing so hard I had to stop the jeep so I could control myself.

If you have never been to Moab, you need to go!

 the first night we did the start of one trail to get a great sunset view
Cliffhanger
 this doesn't look big, but it was
 little Grayson has the greatest hair on a baby I have ever seen
 Rick brought his doll from work, Subaru Steve. The boys had a little too much fun with the my size doll
 My Favorite Trail: Kane's Creek

 Matt and Hudson
 Rusty Nail
 Proof that rick was driving the jeep when he broke it!
 Whit and I had a little fun with my camera while the boys fixed the jeep. we were tree's, flamingo's, t-rex, Sasquatch, and heel clicking. My sister is the greatest, I love her to death!
the broken U-joint left as a warning to others
we had a little too much fun having these adorable babes on the trip this year. MC, Maryann, and Lauren stayed back off the trail and explored main street in town and found a photography place. so the boys got all dressed up and snapped this ADORABLE thing. I cant get over how cute and funny they both are!

Jon Hangerman was driving up through Moab and stopped to hang out with us crazy people for 24 hours. He loved steve as much as the other fellas.
 the next morning we hiked up to one of the arches for the first time
 this little family is adorable
 and this little guy has just stolen my heart! he loved the hike and his hiking backpack.
 we are all afraid of heights, sadly she was not acting too much in this picture. she just let out what was inside.

sorry for picture overload.

always

I cant believe that its already 2 years ago that we lost this beautiful girl
Brynn Barton Nov 8 1986- June 7 2011

there are so many things about her that i will always miss about her.
her little giggle that sounds like winnie the pooh (she hated that we called it that!)
adding her name into everything
how much she seriously loved karaoke
celebrating an entire birthday week
talking to her about my dating woes
knowing exactly what each other is thinking without a word
laughing until we cried and couldnt breathe

 "goodbye may seem forever, farewell is like the end.
but in my heart is a memory and there you'll always be"

 sometimes i still miss her so much it hurts. i know she is still around, that whenever one of us needs her she is there. I just wish I could see her and hear her laugh.

 although we look fabulous, the matching was a happy accident!

emma and myself were determined to beat our time of 35 minutes from last year, and we made it by 2 whole minutes! thats pretty impressive if i do say so myself, and i am not a runner.
 amanda was supposed to run with us but didnt get signed up so she cheered us on at the finish line, joined us for some tasty kneaders breakfast, signed Judes cast, and the tulips festival which was out in full bloom.
 ike: "all the f@$*'s i give"

A box of sunshine

Sometimes you just need a little boost. When I was having a really hard time one of my cute friends {amanda!} surprised me with a little Halloween package to brighten my spirits and it really helped. I recently had some friends going through some stuff and I wanted to pass on the love and help maybe brighten their days.
{i got the main idea from amanda, the sunshine part was a total pinterest find}

I bought all the yellow candy I could find, and some just to make cute sayings. the cards were from PaperSource in sunshine yellow to make the labels.

tagged and bagged the goodies

  the girl painted the box she sent them in which made it uber cute, i just didnt have enough time! but its a great idea the make it match and be a little brighter

Throw a bow on it with a little tag to whom its made for. then drop it on the doorstep and run...or mail it. I did mine as a surprise, hoping they dont know it was from me! {pretty sure they dont read my blog...?} sometimes its nice to just do something for someone else.

The candy and Labels:
everything happens for a riesen {riesen candys}
i know you're going through a sour patch but with faith you'll get through {sour patch kids}
you are 'egg'-cellent  {reese easter eggs}
after the storm comes a rainbow {skittles}
chews to count your many blessings {hi-chews)
when life gives you lemons, make lemonade {sparkling lemonade}
{old fashion caramel chews}
{Lemon heads & Lemon drops}
{Aussie style pineapple licorice}
{milk chocolate coins}
